C-NLIS agree ten-year licence renewal with MDA

26.02.08

The Council for the National Land and Property Information Service (C-NLIS), has today announced that it has granted a 10 year renewal licence to MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates Ltd (MDA) to operate Hub Services for the National Land Information Service (NLIS).

The NLIS Hub is connected to all Local Authorities in England and Wales, HM Land Registry, the Coal Authority and other sources of land and property information. The information is distributed by the 3 NLIS Channels. Since it began operation in 2001, more than 14 million searches have been processed by the NLIS Hub.

C-NLIS CEO Alex Fraser comments: "C-NLIS is delighted to award the licence to MDA who has delivered a consistently high level of service over the years and has demonstrated its continued commitment to official searches in an uncertain market.

The next few years will see significant changes in the property search market and we look forward to working with MDA to maintain NLIS' position at the forefront of electronic delivery. This agreement will ensure that C-NLIS can continue to support its community in the years to come."
